BREAKING: House Democrat Learns Prison Sentence for Attacking ICE Agents

The case involving Representative LaMonica McIver has drawn national attention, as she faces a three-count federal indictment tied to an incident at an ICE detention facility in Newark. Prosecutors allege that during a confrontation in May, McIver physically interfered with federal officers, including claims that she struck an agent with her forearm while attempting to restrain him.

The altercation occurred as federal authorities were carrying out the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. According to the prosecution, McIver’s actions went beyond protest and crossed into obstruction of law enforcement duties.
